Description

Manage small and large scale projects acting as a subject matter expert in all related projects. Develop engineering studies for all elements of the organization. Lead in the development, improvement, and refinement of all phases of A Duie Pyle’s network in order to deliver cost-effective solutions for the company. Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

1) Create and mathematically model business cases within an organization

2) Utilize knowledge and understanding of the quality process and be able to apply tools or technology in business cases

3)Research and evaluate new technologies, methods, and equipment that enhance service and/or reduce cost

4) Review, develop, and analyze corporate processes

5) Develop and utilize optimization and simulation modeling to analyze A Duie Pyle's network

6) Design and develop processes which improve service and/or reduce cost

7) Evaluate the purchase and/or relocation of equipment

8) Regularly evaluate processes and key metrics from a network perspective

9) Perform ad-hoc projects on analytics as required by Operations leadership

10) Research new techniques in freight handling or movement

11) Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment

12) Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals

13) Other duties, as assigned EOE/M/F/D/V



Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, required

• Two years' experience in Industrial Engineering and/or LTL, required

• One year managing significant projects in an LTL environment, required

• Familiar with freight loading and delivery concepts, on-time concepts, LTL networks, and policies and procedures

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and other tools to manage projects and execute analysis

• Ability to travel, as needed

• Must be detail oriented and enjoy a fast paced, multi-tasking, customer service minded environment

• Must have excellent interpersonal verbal and written communications and organizational skills

• Must display a sense of urgency, ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail
