Job Description

The Sales and Marketing Analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing marketing, sales and financial data to help inform strategic decisions. The Analyst will be responsible for pulling data from Salesforce and Marketo showing the entire funnel from lead generation to closed/won/lost opportunities, conversion rates and sales velocity. Marketing channel ROI will also be measured to help forecast future revenue generation. In addition, this position will ensure data integrity within Salesforce.


  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales and marketing activity reports/dashboards (new business and cross-sell/upsell), including number of new leads, opportunities, closed won/closed lost deals, and revenue generated from closed won opportunities as well as a snapshot of where all leads are within the marketing and sales funnel
  • Perform quarterly marketing campaign and channel ROI analysis
  • Complete closed-lost quarterly analysis
  • Analyze lead nurturing program quarterly to understand what is performing well, what is underperforming, and how individuals are progressing through the various nurture stages
  • Provide assistance with Salesforce system data upkeep and enhancement of current workflows
  • Review trends of current client base and do target account analysis/key contact identification for future campaigns
  • Support sales management with creation of KPI/Scorecard development and distribution
  • Suggest adjustments and revisions to promotional strategies to improve sales and profitability based on market research and trends
  • Forecast yearly sales/marketing targets (new business and upsell/cross sell), including product mix
  • Help with compensation plans, models, payouts and clawbacks
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, or data science from an accredited school or equivalent industry experience
  • 1-4 years of sales and marketing data analytics experience needed
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, charting)
  • Experience with Salesforce and Marketo or other marketing automation platforms helpful
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills needed with experience presenting data analysis to senior executives
  • Prior experience using data analytics tools like Tableau is a plus
