Under the direct supervision of a registeredpharmacist, the pharmacy student intern may provide pharmaceutical care topatients in a variety of clinical or pharmacy settings. This may include: patient interviews and counseling;communication with physicians, nurses and other health care team members tosolve medication related problems; compounding of intravenous medications; anddrug information.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to all pertinent local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.

Perform sanitation and maintenance of the clean room area.

Perform pharmaceutical infusion compounding activities.

Participate in pharmacy quality control and performanceimprovement activities.

Perform pharmacy inventory control.

Respect the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patientinformation and property.

Work Schedule: 10 hours per week rotating schedules evenings/weekends

Required Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician Intern License

Preferred Qualifications

Completion and in good standing of at least two professional
pharmacy years at an accredited institution

Cumulative GPA of 2.5 as demonstrated through official school

Commitment to assigned schedule, including rotating shifts and
weekend hours, if necessary

Should be able to work overtime when required, even on a daily

Must be computer literate

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Customer service experience required

Completion and in good standing of at least two professional pre-pharmacy years at an accredited institution
Cumulative GPA of 2.5 as demonstrated through official school transcripts
