We are seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner for our First Quality Retail Services, LLC located in King of Prussia, PA.
This position will be responsible for creating purchase orders covering direct and indirect expenditures, expediting delivery of orders, following up on past due PO’s, and making special arrangements for delivery.
Primary responsibilities include:
Analyzes data for potential cost savings projects
Leads cross-functional teams for new product launches
Compiles and maintains information and records to prepare purchase orders to include pricing.
Assists/leads with MRO related projects across FQ companies
Coordinates, conducts, and participates in meetings and discussions between suppliers and plant personnel.
Confers with Planning in determining material needs and delivery schedules.
Prepares raw material and packaging forecasts.
Works with Manufacturing and Process Engineering on all material transitions.
Controls raw material/packaging working capital investment by managing to DOH inventory targets.
Develop and implements SMI programs as applicable.
Works with Finance and Manufacturing on Material variances.
Completes the costing on RFQ’s as needed for packaging.
Performs various clerical duties associated with Purchasing/Planning activities.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Bachelors of Science degree in Business or Supply Chain.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing/materials environment; expert knowledge with supply chain management and ERP.
High level of technical computer literacy; effective problem-solving, organization and prioritization skills
Must be an effective communicator, articulate and able to clearly convey information, teach, etc.; must have good interpersonal and leadership skills and interface with all departments.
- Good oral and written communication skills, computer skills, reasoning and mathematical skills.
