Performs technical tasks towards the development or testing of machinery and equipment.
Use of basic hand tools, inspection and layout tools and equipment.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists and hand and power tools; examining parts.
Performs dimensional inspection of parts using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Ability to work to engineering drawings and schematics for equipment layout and assembly.
Improve product documentation including updating and review of test and operation procedures. Records test procedures and results, performs routine analysis and calculations, and makes recommendations for changes in equipment, product or test method.
Organization and maintaining test site area; responsibilities include material storage and organization, maintain parts inventory and stock; equipment inspection and repair
Evaluates the form, fit, and function of components, apparatus and equipment for adherence to project objectives.
Additional items as necessary
Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
3-5 years of related experience fabricating, maintaining and repairing mechanical components.
Understanding of basic electronic testing tools.
Experience working on hydraulic systems desired.
