Position Specifics:
*This positon is contingent upon funding.
*The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
Seeking a gas turbine instructor with extensive years of relevant experience with general Engineering Systems and specific expertise in Gas Turbine Systems to include the Electrical Subsystems.
An acknowledged / recognized expert in the functional area of Engineering Watch standing specific to Cruisers and Destroyers with four (4) years relevant experience as an instructor of Shipboard Engineering processes and responsibility for guiding the development of other instructors.
Three (3) years relevant experience in a job that required researching, reading, and applying technical specification documents or tactical publications with responsibility for interpreting and translating content from the specifications to instruction.
Three (3) years relevant experience manipulating training systems for effective and correct presentation of learning objectives.
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired:
NAV GSE NEC 4141/4125
U.S. Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS) certification.
Qualified as Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW).
Prior experience delivering classroom presentations 3-5 years.
Prior experience in an instructional setting with responsibilities for development and maintenance of training curriculum and U.S. Navy Interactive Learning Environment (ILE), Navy eLearning (NeL) and Navy Knowledge Online (NKO).
Demonstrated ability to use established methodologies in all stages of the instructional design process, including planning, analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation; familiarity with methods of developing and delivering NTSPs and its associated processes including an understanding of OPNAVINST 1500.76B and the Navy Training Requirements Documentation Manual (NTRDM); experience with the Navy’s HPRR and JDTA processes.
Prior experience using Authoring Instructional Material (AIM) and Content Planning Module (CPM).
Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for development of e-learning programs.
