SEI is looking for a Business Development Executive to join our team. The key objectives of this position include:

What you'll do:

o Establish, build, and close new business sales opportunities for SEI’s wealth manager platform solutions within the Independent RIA market (specifically targeting unaffiliated firms with $1-20B+ in AUM positioned as wealth advisors).

o Qualify and manage sales opportunities to ensure tight alignment with SEI’s solution deliverable, sales strategy, financial commitment expectations, and market reputation.

o Lead the coordination process with SEI’s Legal from a business perspective to ensure the successful completion of contracts.

o Ensure smooth transition of the prospect relationship to the relationship team once the contracted relationship has been finalized.

o Effectively manage a broad market territory for long term business success over a multi-year time horizon.

o Contribute to the development of SEI on a strategic level in terms of development of relationships, solutions and process both internally and externally that relate to new business development within the Independent RIA market.

o Network and pursue new business development opportunities within an assigned territory.

o Engage prospective target clients, develop relationships, manage RFPs, execute a consultative sales process, and close new business.

o Attend networking and industry events in the pursuit of new business development opportunities.

o Liaise with other business units internally (marketing, solutions, PMO, legal and relationship managers) to ensure client needs are met and to contribute to developing solutions and products that will ensure SEI remain leading edge.

o Work with the Unit Leader to achieve and deliver on sales targets and objectives.

o Provide up-to-date prospecting information such as call reports, presentations, business proposals and contract agreements via our sales tracking technology.

Position Requirements

What you bring to the table:

o A minimum of 5 years of complex outsourcing sales and relationship management experience

o A minimum of 5 years demonstrated / proven track record specifically with new business development

o Demonstrated success explicitly developing and managing “C-Level” relationships within the financial services industry.

o Current, demonstrated success selling to or working with the RIA industry, including technical sales, solution development, and/or new business development

o Demonstrated success cold calling, networking, developing new relationships and various other prospecting techniques within a consultative sales process.

o Proven success in managing and closing high value outsourcing arrangements.

o Strong understanding of the RIA market, wealth management technology, and the procurement or decision making process within large RIA’s.

o Proven experience of influencing the decision, dealings with senior executives within prospect organizations and ability to maintain high level of activity to meet aggressive sales targets.
