Position Description

We are looking for a qualified Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join SEI’s Global Marketing team.
In this role you will own the strategic agenda for enterprise-wide competitive intelligence needs across SEI’s businesses. You will serve as a key input to SEI’s business unit initiatives and external activities supporting sales, solutions, and marketing by representing the voice of the marketplace.
What you’ll do:
› Develop and maintain a clear competitive intelligence strategy across businesses.
› Conduct efficient and thorough analyses of strategic competitive issues confronting SEI’s current business lines, solutions, and product offers. Stay current on financial services industry forces, competition, and trends across all aspects of the industry landscape.
› Support efforts to keep management teams informed of key industry and competitive trends
› Meet regularly with senior leaders throughout the organization to gather feedback and identify additional opportunities to contribute and partner to meet strategic business objectives.
› Partner with SEI business leaders to understand strengths and opportunities of SEI’s position in the marketplace.
› Develop and maintain key internal partner relationships across the organization to ensure effective development and execution of the competitive intelligence strategy. This could include, but not limited to: Sales, Solutions, IMU, Marketing, as well as thought leadership groups.
› Incorporate Competitive Intelligence into strategic initiatives and key decision-making workflows and processes throughout SEI.
› Evaluating methodologies and balancing vendors in the execution of research
› Utilizing project management skills to ensure that project deadlines are met
› Presenting research findings to internal partners
› Managing multiple market research initiatives concurrently

Position Requirements

What you bring to the table:
› The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of relevant market experience, including demonstrated relevant experience in strategy and analysis.
› Ability to synthesize multiple sources of information, including primary market research, database analytics, ambitious intelligence, etc. into coordinated analyses that provide tactical and strategic recommendations
› Strong quantitative background and familiarity with multiple research techniques and methodologies
› The role requires a proactive, strategic thinker who understands research, has shown experience and success leading both large and small-scale research projects, and can interpret findings and help build potential narratives based on findings for others.
› Understand or ability to understand SEI’s business strategy. Familiarity with SEI’s investment platforms and solutions.
› Excellent analytical and relationship management skills.
› Written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills to senior management.
› Project management and prioritization skills
› Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
