Job Description Details:
Mercy LIFE (Living Independently for Elders, a PACE Program) has a need for a Per Diem (Pool)Personal Care Assistant (CNA) for Home Care for the North Hancock Center.
The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) performs varied participant care activities and related support services necessary in caring for the personal and comfort needs of participants. The Personal Care Assistant reports to and works under the supervision of a registered nurse to deliver optimal care. In performing all duties, PCA complies with LIFE policies and procedures.
High Scholl diploma or GED.
Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA) license required. Valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate well in English, orally and in writing.
• Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions.
• Understanding of importance of dignity and privacy in personal care for older adults.
Minimum of one (1) year experience. CPR trained or willingness to be trained. Long Term Care and/or Home Care experience preferred, but not required.
